Overview
The Pharmacy Technician/ACT plays a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy team and ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medication to patients. This position involves working closely with pharmacists to assist in the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions, while also providing excellent patient care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong attention to detail, a commitment to patient safety, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
* Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
* Manage inventory levels by ordering, receiving, and restocking medications and supplies.
* Perform medication administration under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
* Provide exceptional customer service by answering patient inquiries and addressing concerns regarding medications.
* Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
* Assist in the training of new staff members as needed.
* Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the pharmacy workspace.
Skills
* Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of medication administration practices and patient care principles.
* Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
* Proficient in using pharmacy software systems for record keeping and inventory management EMIS PROSCRIPT.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.

Pay: £27,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
