As a result of continuous growth, the opportunity has arisen for a Quality Engineer to join our Reconditioned team based at Derby with responsibility for 3 sites including Rotherham and Wigan, reporting to the Quality Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. The purpose of this role is to support the Quality Manager in achieving key objectives to ensure compliant processes and products by liaising with site managers and offering a hands-on practical approach to driving a quality culture and improvement initiatives across a multisite operation.
2. The Quality Engineer will work towards developing supporting documentation and practical tools to ensure that all sites are adhering to a standardised Quality Management System across the Group.
3. You will be responsible for undertaking audits in accordance with the audit schedule and ensuring that any non-conformances are reported and managed in a timely manner.
4. You will play a key part in leading the quality improvement initiatives across the Pallet Division sites, delivering a practical and lean approach to site processes.
5. This will also involve providing support and training to the site quality champions to drive the quality culture and awareness to site personnel.
6. Addressing root cause analysis, NCRs, targeting identification, implementation, and rectification of all corrective preventative actions.
7. Control/Lead Audits (Internally & Externally) 9001 – 45001 – 14001.
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
1. As a Quality Engineer, you will be a certified auditor (ideally ISO9001).
2. Be able to demonstrate the knowledge and practical application of quality control activities and act flexibly within a diverse range of manufacturing environments.
3. The ideal candidate will need to have excellent communication and team-building capabilities with a solution-focused and problem-solving mindset.
4. Due to the nature of your role, the ideal candidate must hold a valid UK driving license and be willing to work and travel across the UK.
5. To be successful in this role, a ‘can do’ attitude with a passion for driving a quality culture is key.
