Title: Windows 11 Application Test Manager (Technical Analyst)
Day Rate: £600 (Inside IR35)
Contract Length: 6 - 12 Months
Location: London - Hybrid Work Model (2 days on-site per week)
Our client, a prominent global insurer, is seeking a proactive and results-driven Technical Analyst to join their team. This role, titled as Technical Analyst, is primarily focused on leading and managing the testing activities for Windows 11 application projects within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Test Planning: Develop comprehensive test plans based on project requirements, specifications, and design documents.
* Test Strategy and Approach: Develop and communicate the overall test strategy and approach for each application or project. Define testing methodologies, tools, and standards to be used.
* Test Execution: Lead and coordinate the execution of test cases, ensuring coverage of all functional and non-functional requirements. Collaborate with the testing team to execute test scripts and document test results.
* Defect Management: Implement and manage the defect tracking process, including the identification, documentation, and resolution of defects. Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
* Test Automation: Assess opportunities for test automation and lead the development and maintenance of automated test scripts. Oversee the execution of automated tests and analyze results.
* Performance Testing: Plan and conduct performance testing activities to ensure applications meet specified performance benchmarks. Analyze and report on performance test results, identifying areas for improvement.
* Regression Testing: Develop and execute regression test suites to validate the impact of changes on existing functionalities. Ensure that regression testing is integrated into the overall testing process.
* Test Reporting: Generate and communicate test status reports, including progress, issues, and test metrics, to project stakeholders. Provide clear and concise information on the quality of the application under test.
* Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and provide guidance to the testing team members. Foster a collaborative and positive working environment within the testing team.
* Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in the testing process. Implement best practices and contribute to the overall improvement of the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
* Proven experience in software testing, with a focus on leading testing efforts.
* Strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
* Experience in test automation tools and frameworks.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Leadership and team management skills.
Experience:
Previous experience in a test lead or senior testing role is typically required. Familiarity with various testing methodologies and tools, as well as experience in leading testing teams, is highly desirable.
