Provide technical advice and support to the Non Program Local Team members whilst providing feedback to management and maintaining relations with Underwriting Managers for the Retail lines of business excluding P&C. This is an opportunity to manage Underwriting Assistants supporting our Retail lines of business as a team leader while working closely with Underwriters and Middle Office management.
What will your essential responsibilities include?
1. Demonstrate full ownership and accountability for accounts.
2. Provide support to the Motor, Climate, Construction, PI, Title, and M&A colleagues.
3. Manage relationships & meetings with all stakeholders and handle escalations on behalf of the team.
4. Perform regular 2 way feedback 1-2-1 sessions with the team members.
5. Assist management with Goal setting, mid and annual reviews.
6. Maintain accurate up to date reporting on relevant KPIs.
7. Work closely with our Shared Services teams, knowledge sharing, training and escalating where necessary.
8. Handle requests originating from Underwriter/Client/Broker and other internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
9. Knowledge share with the team members & ensure there is collaboration across all.
10. Ensure Escalations to management in a timely manner where appropriate.
11. Produce reports and provide commentary to management.
You will report to the Head of Middle Office, UK.
We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:
1. Attention to detail when dealing with accounts and clear communication needed when liaising with stakeholders & team members.
2. Experience of commercial business in the UK and understanding of Policy documentation/Premium allocations and taxes.
3. Develop and maintain good working relationships with stakeholders within the business.
4. Demonstrate commitment to providing the highest level of service to clients/brokers/AXA Companies.
5. Have a positive approach, even during challenging periods of change & ensure the team are on board.
6. Recognise work priorities and organise time effectively, raise any potential delays, and ensure team are performing at their best.
7. Proficient use of Microsoft Excel with the ability to use VLookups/Pivots/formulae on a daily basis without guidance.
8. Computer literate – experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams would be advantageous.
