Role: Lead Full Stack Developer
Location: Hammersmith, London, UK
Type: Hybrid (1 day per week in office)
Responsibilities:
1. Lead developer will provide full stack web application development and maintenance focused on the Vantage SaaS application.
2. Provide project support and planning guidance to the Product Team for new developments and enhancements on existing products.
3. Perform a consultancy/advisory role within the team when presented with new challenges, including utilising new technology to streamline and enhance the products and associated infrastructure.
4. Investigate, own, and resolve incidents raised by internal and external clients.
5. Lead on time-sensitive projects whilst mentoring and directing other team members.
6. Consult and implement data engineering/ETL processes efficiently when required.
7. Provide operational support including infrastructure setup, maintenance, and software releases.
8. Investigate and fix bugs discovered within the Vantage application and associated modules.
9. Work with the internal tester to ensure they understand the applications being developed, enabling them to carry out full regression testing.
10. Ensure any given development work meets the defined business requirements.
11. Implement best practices by developing and following the defined processes and procedures.
12. Explain and document technical issues to non-technical staff to ensure they understand each development.
13. Any other duties that are considered as falling under the remit and responsibilities of this post.
Minimum Requirements:
1. At least 5 years of experience as a Java web application developer.
2. Experience of full stack web application development using:
1. Java, Scala, Spring, Hibernate
2. JSP, Servlets, REST
3. JavaScript, jQuery, React, Redux, Typescript, CSS, SCSS
4. JUnit, ScalaTest, Cucumber, WebDriver & TDD
5. Jenkins
6. Apache Tomcat, nginx
7. Redshift, MariaDB
8. Bash scripts
9. Python
3. Experience developing full stack greenfield applications from inception to development and deployment.
4. Experience using Amazon Web Services (AWS) - EC2, S3, Redshift.
5. Experience of big data and tools such as Hadoop, Spark, etc.
6. Mandatory industry experience: Pharma or healthcare.
