In addition, twenty specialty medicine consultants have additional clinical commitments within acute medicine. The appointees will work as a member of the Acute Medical team with F1s, SHOs, SPRs and the consultant staff to ensure high quality care of acute medical patients. The acute medicine team is also responsible for care of patients on the medical High Dependency Unit (mHDU and within the Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) unit.
