About The Role We’re looking for an experienced Internal Colleague Communications and Engagement Specialist to join our fantastic team on a 12-month FTC You’ll be responsible for helping to deliver impactful internal colleague communications across our National Grid Ventures (NGV) business. NGV has presence in the UK and the US, develops, operates and invests in energy projects, technologies and partnerships to accelerate the development of a clean energy future. You’ll be helping our team to shape the colleague experience, bringing our purpose, vision and values to life. What You’ll Do Creation of engaging, insightful, informative and relevant multi -channel content on business-wide and local employee communications channels, including intranet and newsletter copy, videos, internal social media, townhalls and other engagement events. Understand our employee communications requirements and priorities, taking the necessary steps to make sure that meaningful contact and involvement takes place at the appropriate level. Plan and prioritise activity, clarify appropriate messages, carry out effective measurement and work on campaign activities. Develop and manage the Colleague Communications & Engagement calendar to ensure alignment and consistency (air traffic control) of message and delivery among audiences. Work with the wider People team on campaigns, projects, announcements and issues, producing clear and compelling colleague communications content. What You’ll Have Experience in Internal Communications within large, professional, matrix businesses, ensuring a considered approach with gravitas, and a dedicated focus on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. If you are a skilled writer, proficient in crafting creative, multi – channel narratives for diverse audiences alongside encompassing skills such as copywriting, editing, print, video, social media and web production to ensure engaging communication across various platforms, then this could be the perfect opportunity for you You thrive working to timescales, and can manage and prioritise compelling communications challenges, whilst identifying the needs of the business by digging deeper, asking probing questions and challenging initial responses.
