About the role:
We are currently looking for sewing teachers to join our learning for leisure team at City of Oxford and Banbury and Bicester Colleges on a short-term course, teaching evening sessions on Tuesdays or Thursdays. Whether you have industry experience as an artist/maker or crafts person looking for extra hours, or a qualified teacher in creative subjects, consider showcasing your skills by becoming a role model to adult learners who share a similar passion and have a desire to develop or enhance their skills within a subject area they love.
What do you need to be successful in this role?
You will have extensive knowledge of the subject area and can engage and interact with learners to ensure they are set up to succeed in their end goals. Ideally, you will hold a teacher's qualification or have experience teaching adults within an educational setting. Your communication and interpersonal skills will be outstanding and support your ability to deliver interesting and purposeful lessons to a diverse range of learners.
