Job Role:
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We invite Shift Engineers who have experience working within a Critical Environment or Engineers looking to move into Critical Environments to join our talent pool for both current and future opportunities.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure site Electrical systems are operated and maintained to the required codes of practice and industry guidelines.
* Maintain and carry out PPM’s for the as-built equipment in a high calibre and on time.
* Carry out day-to-day maintenance and reactive issues relating to all electrical equipment and assets.
* Complete information and feedback to computer-based systems, particularly the PPM system.
* Identify/rectify faults and escalate when required on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning issues.
* Install and modify site electrical services.
* Maintain effective communication with the Shift Supervisor regarding plant status, isolation, issues, ongoing works, and housekeeping standards.
* Clearly state required parts and report any difficulties encountered on engineering activities to the Shift Supervisor.
* Ensure plant areas, workshops, stores, and changing/rest areas are kept to the highest level of housekeeping.
* Operation and troubleshooting for the following:
o Building Electrical Installation (associated panels, equipment, and circuits).
o Emergency lighting.
o Lighting Control system.
o Building Management Systems (BMS).
o Fire suppression and detection systems.
o Air conditioning System, VAV, FCU’s, and Split Systems.
o AHU’s, Variable speed drives.
o Heating system.
o Generators and controls.
o Single and three-phase motors.
o UPS system and associated control systems.
o Operation of HV systems (training and familiarisation will be provided).
Skills:
* Previous experience in the Building Services industry.
* C&G qualified or equivalent in electrical services/maintenance.
* 18th Edition IEE: Wiring & Installation competent.
* HV Approved Person.
* Confined Space entry trained (where required).
* Recognised training or apprenticeship.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to deal with all levels of staff.
* Good understanding and technical competence in all building services, particularly UPS, generators, static switches, water treatment, refrigeration, and air conditioning.
* Proactive in achieving the highest standard of operation.
* Willingness to attend on and off-site training for installed plant and systems, which may require nights away from home.
* Reliable and conscientious.
* Individuals demonstrating commitment and technical competence but not meeting all requirements may be considered subject to client approval.
* Advanced communication skills with a full understanding of customer needs & expectations.
* Ability to comprehend and act upon both verbal and written instructions.
* Enthusiasm, proactivity, diligence, and alertness, with a willingness to participate in appropriate training schemes.
* Integrity, honesty, and punctuality are expected.
