Job Description
Stirling Council has two positions, which offers an exciting opportunity for professional planning career development, to work in an area that encompasses diverse urban and rural places, environment and landscapes, rich in history and character.
The posts offer excellent opportunities to deal with a varied and diverse caseload within a Service which is central to helping support the Council’s strategic priorities including economic growth, diversification and environmental enhancement while protecting and promoting the area’s natural and cultural heritage qualities. The role offers opportunities for being responsible for assessing and determining a varied caseload of planning applications; liaising with colleagues in other Services of the Council and external organisations in connection with development management matters and providing advice on planning matters to the public, developers and Elected Members of the Council; and contributing to Service wide improvement projects.
