About Our Client
Our client is a well-respected national firm providing services to all aspects of the wider rural economy. Their Infrastructure and Utility division are dedicated to their work with significant players in the sector covering the whole of the UK and various sub-sectors of the industry. The majority of their work is focused on power and transmission networks and renewable projects with clients such as SSEN and SP Energy Networks, though other infrastructure and energy projects are also in their remit.
The Ideal Candidate
Ideally, you'll be an experienced Land Consents Surveyor, with a number of years' experience in a comparable role. Our client will also consider candidates from the wider surveying sector who perhaps have relevant experience in the utilities and infrastructure sector in the past. MRICS or AssocRICS status, or a willingness to attain these accreditations is highly desirable. As you'll be supporting with the growth of the team, experience in recruitment, training and development of candidates is desirable. Strong negotiation and communication skills are essential along with exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Agricultural and/or planning experience would also be beneficial.
About the Job
As a Land Consents Delivery Lead, your role will be pivotal in facilitating the smooth running of our client's infrastructure projects and operations across central and Southern Scotland. This is a Senior Management position based which could be based from any of our clients' offices in the south of Scotland, and your key responsibilities will include the line management of the delivery team and involvement with the wider strategy of the business, as well as supporting with hands on tasks in all aspects of the land consents process. You'll need to develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, colleagues and third-party stakeholders and regulatory authorities, and resolve disputes and address concerns when these arise.
