I am recruiting for a Charge Nurse on behalf of an excellent charity in Leeds. They specialise in providing care and support for those receiving end of life care. An outstanding reputation and a focus on person centred, they’re a fantastic charity to work for.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work for an initial 6 months as a Charge Nurse supporting the service, with a focus on quality and clinical practice.
Key Responsibilities of a Charge Nurse:
1. The post holder has line management responsibility within the IPU
2. This role reports into the HOCS, and may assume temporary line management responsibility for senior clinicians on the IPU
3. Responsible for working alongside and/or supporting volunteers within their team
4. Responsible to foster good working relationships with internal stakeholders: Service
5. Director, Direct reports, Medical Teams, Heads of Clinical Services, Clinical Quality Team and other Matron
6. Responsible to foster good working relationships with external stakeholders: Local
7. CQC/ Care Inspectorate inspector and Quality Lead for Integrated Care Board (ICB),
8. Partner organisations. Developing and sustaining networks with other experts at the local and national level
9. Extensive relevant clinical experience with demonstrable management, supervision and leadership skills
10. Accountable to ensure that clinical services meet relevant Care Standards Act, Environmental Standards and Health and Safety requirements
11. To act as a role model within the multi-disciplinary team, demonstrating highly developed knowledge and experience through excellent leadership skills
Requirements of a Charge Nurse:
12. Registered Nurse
13. Educated to a master’s degree level or equivalent relevant experience
14. Relevant management qualification or equivalent experience
15. Evidence of continuous professional development
