Graduate Hotels is seeking a Night Receptionist to join The Randolph Hotel and its brilliant team of hospitality enthusiasts The landmark 151-bedroom Randolph Hotel in Oxford is part of the Graduate Hotels collection. The boutique hotel takes inspiration from the prestigious Oxford University, with nods to college architecture and crests, as well as "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland," created by alumnus Lewis Carroll. THE ROLE The Night Porter is a crucial role that assists our Night Manager / Assistant Night Manager in running the night shifts smoothly at the hotel. As a Night Porter, you will greet our guests, carry luggage, guide them to their rooms, deliver in-room amenities, and provide room service, among other duties, to ensure our guests are well-cared for throughout the night. THE TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES When our guests sleep in their beds, the Nights Porter keeps the hotel running like clockwork. Greeting guests and creating a welcoming and memorable arrival/check-out experience. Resolving guest concerns - you will be fully empowered to make decisions whilst dealing with guests and are expected to take full ownership of the feedback to ensure every guest leaves the hotel happy. Ensuring the security of the hotel throughout the night, including regular fire checks. Providing drinks and room service to resident guests after hours. Cleaning and preparing hotel public areas throughout the night. Covering general reception duties as required, including guest check-in, check-out, answering the telephone, and night audit procedures. Ensuring hotel health & safety procedures are maintained and overseeing emergency response and evacuation procedures as required. Assisting with the preparation and setting up of hotel meetings and event spaces as and when necessary. First responder in the event of a fire alarm. Recording any maintenance issues onto our Alice App and communicating across other departments. Completing handover to day shift prior to leaving in the morning Other duties can be assigned within the scope of the role. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR FROM YOU You love to work at night. Customer service experience. Knowledge of PMS (desirable). A positive attitude and someone who makes our guests smile. A great team player who works well with others. Ability to communicate in English, verbally and in writing. Basic computer skills. Ability to work shifts, weekends, and bank holidays.
