Become a School Governor with the Effingham Schools Trust (EST).
The EST has a very healthy population of 1500 pupils across all three sites, St Teresa's, Cranmore and Manor House.
As the Trust begins to grow and a number of Governors are rotating off the Board at the end of their tenure, we are looking to appoint additional Governors to continue delivering strong strategic leadership.
he Board of Governors comprises Governors with a range of backgrounds and professional experience. The Governing Board delegates key strategic areas to sub-committees responsible for Health & Safety, Risk & Compliance, Education, Finance & Operations, and Safeguarding.
We would be particularly interested in hearing from individuals with an accounting or commercial background, although a variety of skills and experience is always welcome. Previous governing experience is not necessary. All new governors receive a full induction and can be involved in a number of areas according to their preferences.
As a governing body we wish to attract individuals from all stages of their career journey to increase our diversity and agility. Working at Board level delivers the opportunity to progress within your chosen career, broadening your career and providing the opportunity to work at a strategic level. This enhances CVs and provides an opportunity to work beyond a chosen profession.
All Governor roles are voluntary and subject to enhanced DBS and full clearance checks.
How to Apply: Please forward your CV with a short paragraph indicating why you would be interested in taking up a governor position to Mrs Annette Turner, Chair of Governors: governor.recruitment@effinghamschools.org .
