Project Manager - EPC UK Grid
Location: North East, United Kingdom - hybrid working available
Start date: ASAP / Feb 2025
Rate: £500 - £600 per day, outside IR35.

Turner Lovell are looking for an EPC Project Manager to join a market leading and innovative engineering firm that is helping to power the UK transmission & distribution grid. The client is looking for an EPC experienced individual to lead, coordinate and oversee the successful delivery of control & protection systems within substations in the UK. Experience as a Project Manager in both managing the implementation of control and protection systems and EPC experience on projects within the UK is critical for this role.
Key Duties:
1. Lead, coordinate and oversee the successful delivery of protection and control equipment on sites - from point of order right through to installation and handover.
2. Work with the manufacturing factory, engineering team and commercial teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, to quality & SHEQ standards and within budget.
3. Liaise with customers to understand their requirements and manage their expectations.
4. Manage and foster a strong relationship with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and services.
5. Identify and resolve any project issues that may arise.
6. Prepare and submit non-conformance reports.
7. Work with the internal engineering team to assist with project processes and efficiency.
Requirements:
1. Degree in Electrical Engineering or similar related field.
2. 3+ years Project Management experience within the UK renewable energy industry.
3. Experience working with DNOs and TSOs in the UK.
4. Strong understanding of primary electrical equipment and systems used for transmission/distribution/power networks.
5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
7. Project Management qualification (desirable but not essential).
