Manchester City Council are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join a well-structured and dynamic team for 28 Hours a week. The client offers a full-time contract with an opportunity to work from home, a fair and manageable caseload and further training in your portfolio. The vacancy will be for an initial 3 - 6 months with potential for extension.
Main Duties for the Occupational Therapist includes.
This is for an OT post in our rehousing team at Manchester City Council. We are looking for an OT with housing adaptations experience who can assess people in their own home for adaptations. - 28 hours
Work will also consist of matching applicants to available adapted homes and undertaking viewings to homes with these applicants.
This will require travel across Manchester (occasionally GM) on a minimum of 3 days a week.
The role holder will ensure that through effective advice, planning and support and the utilisation of 'joined up' approaches, individuals are able to access housing that meets their needs.
The role holder will work to provide direct support for individuals and families in accordance effectively identifying cases and/or managing a caseload in order to secure positive housing outcomes for Manchester residents.
