We are seeking reliable, caring and fun-loving individuals to support adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.
You will be supporting young adults with all aspects of their daily lives, from attending college to going horseriding, from helping to cook to going on holiday. Those we support may have difficulties in accessing activities that they might enjoy, and our aim is to provide reassurance and support to make small steps towards the enjoyment of lives filled with opportunity.
You will be based in the Bideford area. A full driving licence is an advantage, as it provides more opportunities for varied days going out to places like Woolley Animals, the theatre and Quince’s Honey Farm; however, it is not a requirement for the role. Many of our clients enjoy walking and have bus passes to access activities further afield.
While you will receive full training, nothing can compare to the guidance and encouragement of your team, who will help you to better understand those we support and be on hand to answer any questions you may have.
We recognise the importance of work/life balance, strongly believing that happy support workers will be better able to maintain fun and nurturing relationships with those they support. This means that, while our standard contracts are for 36 hours a week with up to 2 sleep-ins a month, we are happy to discuss a contract that works for you, from 24 – 48 hours a week. And we always ensure that you know your rota between 4 – 8 weeks ahead.
If you think that this may be the job for you, please give us a call on 01237 476694 or drop us an email (LucyDyer@LintonSupport.co.uk) to discuss this further.
