The CYP (Children and Young People) Programmes team is currently seeking a talented and dedicated Project Officer to join their dynamic team. This role presents an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people across Suffolk. We have identified a need to strengthen our programme’s function, with particular focus on: managing and supporting various change programmes and service improvements responding effectively to national reforms specifically supporting the new Families First programme. Your role and responsibilities You will: lead and support a portfolio of social care projects that enhance outcomes for vulnerable children and young people, ensuring changes are positively received by service users and embedded into core service delivery utilise data analysis, research, and evidence-based approaches to identify service improvement opportunities within children's social care, interpreting complex datasets to inform strategic planning work collaboratively with stakeholders across Children and Young People's Services to develop solutions within aligned projects and programmes maintain comprehensive project documentation including planning, monitoring, risk management, and evaluation reports for governance while proactively communicating progress to all stakeholders apply strong organisational and planning skills to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver successful social care initiatives using appropriate project management techniques provide line management and supervision as required, while building and maintaining effective relationships with partners and professional groups to promote integrated service delivery that supports children, young people and families. You will need: a suitable professional qualification at graduate level or equivalent experience in a relevant area of work.
