As part of our commitment to excellence, we are seeking a GIRI Trainer to support our teams in implementing industry-leading practices and reducing errors in construction through GIRI Accredited Training. As a GIRI Trainer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training sessions aligned with GIRI’s objectives, supporting our employees and supply chain to develop error-reduction skills, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement. You will play a key role in training supervisors, managers, and other key personnel in construction error prevention.

Your work environment
* This role will require regular travel across Northern England and overnight stays, with occasional travel needed throughout the UK and possibly Ireland.
* This role is a 2-year contract.

Your mission
As a GIRI Trainer, you will be responsible for the following:
* Deliver GIRI Accredited Training in line with GIRI standards and guidelines.
* Support the development of a culture of quality and error prevention within BAM UK & I and our supply chain.
* Carry out training needs analysis for identified users and groups.
* Prepare, deliver and maintain training to meet or exceed current company and external standards.
* Maintain high training standards, adapting content to suit different audiences (Supervisors, Managers, Interface roles).
* Create an effective learning environment for all forms of delivery.
* Deliver training within UK and Ireland ensuring all learners are engaged and benefit from an effective learning experience.
* Facilitate interactive and engaging training sessions ensuring all questions are addressed and concluded.
* Deliver testing, marking and assessment where required and record all training activities.
* Evaluate learning programmes and incorporate results into continuous improvement.
* Seek feedback and evaluation from users, receive positively and use to improve both personal and programme performance.
* Maintain Accreditations from external organisations where required.
* Support preparation and process of quality auditing from both internal and external organisations.
* Attend external forums and workshops to maintain accreditations.
* Act as a champion for digital learning by utilizing online Learning Management Systems (LMS).
* Collaborate with BAM’s Business Assurance, Quality & Systems team to align training with company objectives.
* Maintain a programme of CPD.
Who are we looking for?
The following are required:
* Knowledge of the Company, the sectors we operate in and the industry in general.
* Several years experience in the Construction Industry reaching supervisory level or above to comply with CITB/GIRI requirements
* Must have or be willing to gain GIRI Training Certification from CITB
* Competence in the planning, preparation and delivery of training.
* Ability to deliver interactive, engaging and inspiring Training Sessions to a varied audience.
* Excellent skills to communicate effectively with service users and stakeholders.
* Ability with ICT Skills to research, prepare and deliver training; manage data and communications and improve, update or problem solve existing materials.
The following are desirable requirements:
* Industry-recognised, sector-specific or occupationally required accreditation with external organisations.
* Industry recognised trainer certification or trainer qualification.
