We are working with a dynamic and growing company seeking a detail-oriented and organised Payroll & Accounts Assistant to join the finance team. The role involves processing timesheets and invoices, preparing information for payroll, and supporting general accounts functions. The majority of the workforce consists of irregular workers, so prior experience handling variable payrolls would be beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
• Accurately process employee timesheets and invoices for payroll.
• Collate and prepare payroll data for submission, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Assist with pension administration, including auto-enrolment and contributions.
• Maintain and update payroll and accounting records.
• Assist with financial tasks, including bank reconciliations and accounts payable/receivable duties.
• Handle payroll queries and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Support the finance team with ad-hoc administrative tasks.
Skills & Experience Required:
• Previous experience in payroll processing, especially for irregular work patterns, is desirable.
• Knowledge of pensions and auto-enrolment regulations.
• Familiarity with BrightPay and Xero (training can be provided).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
