Overview:
We are currently seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our team at Lisburn Tile.
As a Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for the provision of effective leadership in a team environment and lead the Maintenance team in the provision of best-in-class maintenance services to ensure optimum operational efficiency of all plant and equipment.
Key Responsibilities

* Safety First – Ensure compliance within the maintenance team with all current legislation in relation to H&S in the workplace, and in particular, foster a culture of compliance with Breedon policies with regards to Safety and Environmental
* Manage HR functions relating to the maintenance team.
* Responsible for preparing and administering plans for the systematic planning of all maintenance in order to maximise the reliability of that equipment in terms of availability and operational efficiency.
* Manage the execution of planned, preventative, predicative and breakdown maintenance activities associated with all equipment.
* Review continuously the procedures and plans for systematic maintenance in order to identify areas for change/improvement.
* Identify, through inspection and analysis, potential and real maintenance problems. Bring these to the attention of relevant parties.
* Manage the workload of the maintenance team members and any contractors and assign tasks matched with the skill set of the maintenance team / contract team to ensure that all required maintenance tasks are fulfilled.
* Maintain data analysis systems for key plant items, projecting trends to allow for preventative maintenance activities.
* Preparation of and submission of regular detailed reports on maintenance tasks and planned preventative maintenance tasks .
* Produce relevant maintenance history information and ensure timely acquisition of required materials and equipment.
* Collaborate with other senior managers to ensure sufficient stock of spares and consumables are maintained and procured, with a focus on achieving value for money within the procurement process
* Ensure that all members of the maintenance team are aware of, and understand company and departmental objectives, policies, and procedures.
* To continually update all areas of knowledge required to carry out the job at maximum effectiveness and attend training courses as and when required.
* Travel, as required, to other Breedon sites, to meet the operational needs of the Products division.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
What we need from you!
* Professional qualification in Mechanical and or Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
* Leadership, a natural ability to lead people and lead by example, the manager will be required to quickly command respect and loyalty even when making difficult decisions.
* Strong interpersonal skills, the manager must be able to speak with employees, other department managers and senior management.
* Understanding of the management principles, including finance, health and safety, quality and HR. and ensure compliance to company policies procedures and standards.
* Capacity to manage change – identify problems, their causes and practical solutions.
* Critical thinking and Intellectual capabilities to analyse difficult business problems, getting to the root cause of the problems (Root Cause Analysis) and generating workable solutions in line with objectives.
* Preparation of regular reports detailing maintenance needs and requirements.
