Job Purpose: Lead a dynamic team of designers in creating innovative non-automotive products, primarily through partnership collaborations across various categories, including label products, merchandise, graphic design, CAD modelling, and support for AMF1, WEC, and IMSA. This hands-on creative role plays a key part in safeguarding the brand, ensuring all designs align with the Aston Martin DNA while evolving the visual identity to remain relevant, forward-thinking, and ahead of the competition. Grade: Manager Key Duties & Responsibilities: Support the team to deliver best in class designs that align to brand identity. Lead and guide projects from design concept to production. Brand guardian. Collaborate with wider design studio designers where projects overlap (i.e. motorbike design). Provide project support to the AM and AMF1 partnerships teams, for all designed product collaborations. Management of several complex live projects at various stages of delivery. Brand ambassador, able to build and maintain good professional relationships with the counterpart design teams of the licensed partners. Stay updated on industry trends, and competitor design strategies to continually enhance our product offering whilst remaining true to the Brand Close collaboration with Programme Manager to ensure projects adhere to timelines, balanced team workload and priority setting. Qualification & Experience: Proven experience within automotive/product design and/or successfully leading design projects to completion. Experience of working for a luxury brand Experience of working with Licensed partners, and brand extension Leading teams experience, whether formally or informally, with the ability to motivate and support team members. Full knowledge of product development from concept through to production. Educated to degree level in Automotive Design or Industrial Design, or equivalent related discipline with relevant creative and design experience in the automotive or non-automotive fields. Behaviours: Proficient in all major design software, including CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Alias Modelling (or equivalent). Strong leadership abilities, with a collaborative mindset and a commitment to teamwork. Skilled in guiding technical discussions and providing strategic direction to the team. Creative and innovative thinker, with a problem-solving approach to design challenges. Excellent communicator, with confidence in presenting ideas effectively. Proven expertise, demonstrated through a strong visual portfolio. Highly organized and proactive, with the ability to unite teams and deliver results under high-pressure situations.
