Our client is seeking a Continuous Improvement professional to use innovative methods to create Best-In-Class systems and methods in both manufacturing and business systems. Contribute to KPI and financial performance of the business by leading teams to achieve optimal results.

PAY RELATED TO EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Collaborate to assess the current state of the Plant's operations, develop future state vision and implementation plan.
2. Champion plant CI at all times and engage people with plant goals and activities.
3. Support with Value Stream Analysis (current and future state).
4. Deliver Lear training modules.
5. Identify barriers to project success & proactively solicit help from champions.
6. Drive multifunctional teams to robustly resolve issues and work collaboratively.
7. Assist in locating Best-in-Class Operations processes, and then implement them into the Plant.
8. Support other C.I initiatives, including best practice implementation, when striving to improve Business Metrics.
9. Active support in Team Improvement Circles program as a circle coach.
10. Champion the plant kaizen competition with regular reviews, events and celebrations.
11. Champion sitewide CI systems (including 5S, Suggestions and standard work confirmation). Maintain control of these systems and kaizen for Best-In-Class performance.
12. Use standard tracking and reporting systems to prepare detailed plans, drive project performance, and assure timely project/task completion.
13. Facilitate cross-functional expert teams to drive breakthrough or Best-In-Class performance in People, Quality, Material Flow and Cost.
14. Support Central CI activity and cascade it to Redditch plant.
15. Accountability to impact on operational and financial performance.
16. Show moral courage, openness and honesty in all dealings.
17. Be assertive, resilient and welcome change wholeheartedly.
18. Perform any other duties when necessary to meet the varying demands of the business and satisfy the customers' needs.
KEY SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Preferred:
Previous experience in an automotive environment.
Challenge the status quo and innovate for best possible solutions.
Project management skills for medium-term projects.
Required:
Computer literate.
Previous working experience of lean manufacturing principles in a manufacturing environment.
Grasp and resolve operational problems quickly as part of a team.
Analytical and inquisitive mindset.
Data-driven decision making.
Proactive in all aspects of work.
QUALIFICATION
Preferred:
Level 6 qualifications (degree equivalent) in Science, Mathematics or Engineering discipline.
Yellow belt six sigma.
Working knowledge of health and safety (including ergonomics).
Required:
Past participation in a kaizen team or TIC.
Level 3 qualifications (A Level equivalent).
