Summary of the Role:
We are seeking a proactive Health, Safety & Facilities Officer to join our client's team in Milton Keynes. This role involves managing and promoting health and safety standards across the site, with a focus on compliance, employee training, and emergency preparedness. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting a safe working environment, handling maintenance requests, and coordinating with contractors to ensure facilities meet the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise employees on minimizing workplace risks and hazards.
Oversee safety practices per regulations, including COSHH, waste disposal, and infection control.
Conduct first aid duties and facilitate statutory inspections for LOLER and compressed air systems.
Manage health and safety policies, perform safety inspections, and lead emergency response training.
Log health and safety tours, incidents, and maintenance requests.Key Skills and Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years' experience in a health, safety, and environmental role within manufacturing or FMCG environments.
Strong knowledge of the Health & Safety at Work Act, IOSH, and NEBOSH certifications (preferred).
Confident communicator with strong analytical and multitasking skills.
Ability to manage maintenance requests and interact with external stakeholders effectively.Additional Requirements:
Flexibility to work across office and factory environments.
Full driver's license and willingness to travel for training.
