As a Maths Lead Teacher, you will provide high-quality instruction to students up to GCSE level and support their learning in functional skills. The successful candidate will lead the delivery of the maths curriculum, foster a culture of learning, and create a positive, inclusive environment where students can achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Teach Maths up to GCSE level and functional skills, adapting lessons to meet individual student needs. Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons that support academic and personal development. Monitor and evaluate student progress, setting realistic and challenging targets. Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that promotes mutual respect and learning. Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Contribute to school improvement initiatives and staff training programs. Act as a role model for students, demonstrating professionalism and a commitment to their success. Qualifications and Experience: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. A strong understanding of the maths curriculum, including functional skills. Experience working in alternative provisions, PRUs, or with students with additional needs is desirable but not essential. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Patience, adaptability, and a positive attitude. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
