Security Architect required for one of Glasgow's most prestigious professional services firms, on a 12 month Fixed-Term contract (with a real chance of becoming permanent). You will be working across both Security and the Architecture team. The company is currently going through a digital transformation and has a number of tech roles available.
They operate across a number of countries and are reviewing all business services offerings. This role sits within the Enterprise Architecture function, and you can be either an experienced Security Architect or a more technical security resource with some architectural experience.
This is a new position within the organization, and you will work closely alongside two other Security Architects, as well as the wider security function. The role is likely to be around 70% project focus, with new initiatives including a secure web gateway and cloud access security broker implementation, as well as a privileged access management project.
The company is undergoing large-scale business change, and there is plenty of work to be done now and in the future. They treat their employees extremely well and have continued to grow over the last 5 years. They are looking for someone who can get into the Glasgow office, ideally a few times a week.
Key Skills and Experience:
1. A number of years as a Security Architect, or Security Engineer with some architectural knowledge.
2. Ability to design, evaluate, and recommend security solutions across infrastructure, network, and application security.
3. Ensure security strategies, policies, and standards are adhered to correctly.
4. Define and enforce security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry and regulatory practices.
5. Develop and maintain security control frameworks and ensure their consistent application.
6. Contribute to security reviews and audits to assess compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
7. Ensure that the architectures you create are recognized as the roadmap for all business services and technical solutions.
8. Keep up to date with developments in appropriate new technologies/services and participate in the investigation/assessment of their suitability.
