The welcoming team provide a fantastic customer service, and in joining this team, you'll become part of the family too. Ightham Mote has daily garden tours taking in the breathtaking south lake. Local plants and product are available for visitors to purchase from the Cutting Garden and shop. It is a perfect spot for picnics, enjoying the views of the ornamental lake and informal lawns. What you'll be doing As a Collections Assistant, you'll be working with a great housekeeping team in an incredible place, helping with the day-to-day cleaning and care of the collections. No detail will go unnoticed, and you'll keep a keen eye on everything from the environmental conditions in a room, to signs of wear and tear. You'll keep accurate records and report into the Senior Collections & House Officer and be part of a team of 5. In this visitor facing role, we'd love you to talk to visitors about the work you're doing, and the collections we have. You will work alongside volunteers and help in the daily opening, running and closing of the house. You'll also be part of the wider team of employees and volunteers, covering where necessary.
