Job title: Principal Capability Management Engineer (Product Safety)

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience.
What you'll be doing:
* Working with specialist Product Safety engineering teams, engaged in the design and manufacture of the Astute/Dreadnought and SSNA class of submarines to develop resource solutions, SQEP assessments, and training and development intervention requirements.
* Regularly engaging with stakeholders within the Product Safety and other Engineering Domains.
* Providing regular updates on the status of Product Safety capabilities across the Astute/Dreadnought and SSNA programmes.
* Gathering information from specialist engineering teams to identify areas of strategic and tactical risk.
* Production of Capability Management plans to ensure engineering capability is sustained, developed, and managed in line with programme requirements.
* Developing own Capability Management and/or Product Safety skills/knowledge with individual training programmes.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* STEM Degree or equivalent experience within (i.e. Safety or Environmental field / Capability Management).
* Chartered status or evidence of working towards Chartership.
* Strong stakeholder management skills and experience.
Desirable:
* Experience working within a large engineering company.

The Capability Engineering team:
You will work within a specialist engineering team to develop and sustain the capability of the Product Safety domain. This role can also lead to future career progression opportunities within the wider Capability Management function and strategic leaders within our Submarines business. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
