Role Summary Equiniti Retirement Solutions (EQRS) are looking for a strong leader and client engagement professional for the role of Head of Private Sector Clients. The position will be the face of client care for 60 clients ranging from £1k - £5m revenue for individual projects and delivering the required benchmark profit threshold or greater. The position will report into the Managing Director of Private Sector and manage a team of Relationship Directors and Pensions Managers. This is a fulltime permanent role and will be expected to be in EQ locations/site a minimum of 3 days a week. Core Duties/Responsibilities The core duties and responsibilities are as follows, but are not limited to; Line manages a team of 7-10 staff inclusive of Relationship Directors (RD’s) and Pensions Managers (PM’s) and technical Proposition Leads supporting them all in technical and personal development. Working with the Head of Change and Head of Operations to create and understand a holistic view of the current service delivery to our client base and align this with the view of client satisfaction. Be the escalation point for matters relating to relationship management for our clients Attend client meetings, liaising internally with Managing Director, CEO and Corporate Sponsor where necessary. Attend annual client meetings to understand their needs from EQ at an overview level and preferred ways of working Provide frequent reports on client matters to Managing Director and Exco Oversee the build of individual client engagement models provided by the team. Retains sufficient knowledge and awareness of clients to be able to support revenue projections in terms of likelihood and timing. Responsible for owning risks on EQRS Private Sector operational risk log Accountable for implementing appropriate controls along with Head of Change and Head of Operations to ensure EQ Retirement Solutions is well-governed. Review Client Account Plans on a regular basis for sharing with the division-wide strategic projects, where appropriate, to inform revenue likelihood and appropriate timing for strategic change on client plan. Maintains own awareness of pensions regulations, trustee obligations, clients’ needs and objectives and EQ services. The role will fall under the FCA SMCR regime. Skills, Capabilities and Attributes Must have extensive Pensions Technical knowledge. Must have worked within UK DB Pensions industry. A good understanding of pensions from scheme level and of end-to-end client operations. Understanding of stakeholder requirements (trustee/ corporate sponsor) and proven experience working alongside these stakeholders. Proven senior management capability, setting clear targets and expectations for teams. Ability to ensure activities and objectives are aligned with the organisational objectives. Qualified actuary would be desirable but not essential Analytical thinker, able to identify problems, assess root cause, and development and implement remediation solutions. Change leader, adaptable to change and effective in leading others through change. Strategic and visionary thinking and the ability to communicate clearly to a range of stakeholders including experience with providing “executive ready” updates (verbal and written) Ability to ensure activities and objectives are aligned with the organisational objectives. Proven senior management capability, setting clear targets and expectations for teams. Ability to influence and gain credibility quickly across a diverse business. Ability to build strong relationships and comfortable working and leading in a matrix environment. Strong collaboration and relationship management skills across all levels of an organisation. Ability to prioritise multiple projects/initiatives. Highly commercial, financially literate with cost centre management experience.
