Job Description
Our Sustainability and Carbon team is seeking a capable Sustainability and Carbon Consultant with some experience in embedding sustainability into large scale infrastructure projects and corporate strategies who can hit the ground running and begin having an impact. Residing within the Infrastructure division’s Sustainable Futures Practice, this part of the business has been developed specifically to support our clients on their sustainability journey. Our team advises clients on decarbonisation, net zero strategies, sustainability assessments, and more, across sectors like energy, water, transport, and government, leveraging the latest digital tools. The successful candidate will collaborate across teams and throughout project lifecycles, creating positive sustainable change for high-profile UK clients. Location & Working Arrangements
Manchester or Bristol. Hybrid and flexible working arrangements will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support on carbon, sustainability, and net zero initiatives for infrastructure projects and clients.
2. Develop innovative strategies, designs, and management plans.
3. Coordinate sustainability inputs on projects.
4. Represent the company externally when required.
5. Assist in bid proposals and maintain win themes.
Requirements
* Degree in environmental or engineering discipline; professional registration preferred; master's advantageous.
* Experience in carbon accounting/reporting, decarbonisation, sustainability assessments, and related areas.
* Strong interpersonal, report writing, and communication skills.
* Knowledge of UK sustainability standards like GHG Protocol and PAS2080.
