Job summary This is a full time substantive post within the Department of Frailty and Ageing Medicine. This post is to support the Silver Trauma service that works alongside the Major Trauma teams assessing patients who are TARN eligible with a view to improving standards and outcomes for older (>65 year olds) with trauma. Main duties of the job The successful applicant will help support and develop the Silver Trauma service alongside the Major Trauma team. The successful applicant will support the Major Trauma ward with older patients with major trauma but also contribute towards a liaison service within the Medical bed base when patients are identified. The aim is to provide Comprehensive Geriatric assessment to these patients complying with the Best Practice Tariff with the aim of supporting systems and pathways to improve outcomes for this patient cohort.
