Job Title: Business Development Executive – Joinery
Location: Office-Based (No remote work)
About the Company: Our client is a specialist joinery company known for their bespoke projects. They take pride in quality craftsmanship and outstanding customer service. They are now looking to bring on board a dedicated salesperson who can focus on closing deals and building strong client relationships without using pushy sales tactics.
The Role: This is a brand-new role focused on offering their products to new and existing clients. You won’t need to handle quote preparation, but you will take charge of the client relationship from sending out the quote to closing the sale. Our client is looking for someone with strong closing skills who excels at building long-term relationships, rather than using a hard-sell approach. This is not a telesales role!
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales and Client Management:
o Own the sales process from receiving qualified leads to closing the deal.
o Act as the primary point of contact for clients, building strong, long-lasting relationships.
o Use a consultative, solution-focused approach tailored to each client’s needs.
o Oversee the entire client journey, ensuring a smooth process from quote to order.
2. Quote Follow-Up:
o Collaborate with the telesales team and estimator who will prepare quotes on your behalf.
o Review and send quotes to clients, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
o Follow up on quotes promptly to close deals, focusing on client satisfaction.
3. Relationship Building:
o Cultivate trust with clients through a friendly, consultative approach—no aggressive selling.
o Occasionally visit clients to strengthen relationships and gain deeper insights into their needs.
o Drive repeat business by providing excellent service and consistent follow-up.
4. Organisational Skills:
o Use the company’s CRM system and Excel to track sales activities and maintain client records.
o Adhere to a structured sales process and align with production schedules.
o Effectively manage your diary, scheduling calls and meetings to maximise efficiency.
5. Team Collaboration:
o Work closely with the sales manager and director, reporting progress and meeting set targets.
o Collaborate seamlessly with the telesales and estimating teams for a streamlined sales process.
o Be a proactive team player, contributing positively to the office environment.
What We’re Looking For:
* Proven experience in solution-based selling, ideally in joinery, construction, or related industries.
* Strong closing skills with a focus on building long-term client relationships.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in CRM systems, Excel, and Outlook.
* Ability to manage your own diary and follow a structured process.
* Willingness to learn about the company’s bespoke staircase products.
* Full UK driving licence (pool car available for client visits).
