The logistics function manages the provision of tools, assets, plant items and vehicles to the field-based teams, to ensure that work is completed to a high safety and quality standard. The logistics team are based across 4 hubs: Liverpool, Newport, Midlands and Deeside, distributing equipment nationwide.
* Working Days: Monday – Friday
* Shift Pattern: 8am – 4:00pm
* Wage: £38,000 – £42,000 DOE
Key Responsibilities:
* Ownership of key asset management deliverables
* Ensuring all asset and plant items are fit for purpose and in compliance with regulatory and legal requirements
* Implementing and monitoring processes for routine corrective and preventative maintenance
* Calibration and testing
* Servicing by in-house teams or external parties
* Maintenance of accurate stock and audit records
* Management of items in quarantine or repair
* Implementation and ownership of key deliverables for Fleet plant items
* Ensuring all Fleet plant items are regularly serviced and maintained to ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements
* Coordinating activities for the acquisition, replacement and disposal of Fleet plant items
* Using an appropriate tracker system to monitor usage
* Managing the periodic auditing process for on-site and in-field assets to ensure compliance with calibration, PAT testing and servicing requirements
* Collating reports on key asset and plant KPI’s
* Minimising overstocks and promotion of removal of obsolete/redundant assets to maximise availability of working capital
* Developing a strategy for the hire or purchase of plant items
* Liaison with key suppliers for provision of services, training and product information
* Liaison with internal and external parties
* Management of the Service Centre team
* Provision of coaching and training to deliver operational excellence
* Performing day-to-day line management and performance management activities
* Lead the design and implementation of a new Asset Management IT system to enable the recording and scheduling of all maintenance and servicing while ensuring optimum ‘down-time’
* Ability to respond quickly and effectively to changes in a proactive manner
* Maintain and build up a good working relationship with internal and external stakeholders including colleagues, customers, suppliers, and senior management teams
Essential Skills:
* Proven experience as asset/plant manager or similar position
* Knowledge of key health and safety and regulatory requirements for asset management
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft applications
* Excellent organisational and planning skills
* Ability to accurately track asset/plant items and create reports
* Team worker as well as the ability to work on own initiative
* Ability to meet deadlines without compromising on quality
* Understand and demonstrate good leadership
