This is an opportunity not to be missed. You’ll get the chance to work at one of Arla’s largest Dairies with state of the art equipment and solid career development. Our Lockerbie site is undergoing a multimillion upgrade to both the facilities and production equipment.
So what do our engineers actually do?
8. Provide guidance and leadership to a team engineering colleagues across the shift
9. Support a well invested, fast paced food manufacturing site with critical line maintenance by carrying out reactive, proactive, and servicing activities
10. Utilizes CMMS systems and reporting suites.
11. Drive projects including non- capex modifications, capex, and continuous improvement including throughput and OEE initiatives.
This will be working on equipment including; Milk pasteurisation, homogenisers, separators process systems, filers, Slicers, cartoners, bottle labellers, cappers, packers, blow moulding machines, weighers, flow wrappers, shrink wrappers, trolley packers. Palletisers, de-palletisers, conveyor lines (chain, spiral), robots (Kuka), vision systems, Spectrum TX rejection systems / OEMS including Siemens, Krones, and Tetra Pak.
What you’ll need in order to be successful in the role
12. Ambition and drive
13. Ideally apprentice trained to NVQ or CITB Level 3 qualification or higher HNC/HND etc.
14. Strong experience as a multiskilled engineer (shift engineer/ maintenance engineer/ engineering technician and the likes)
15. Experience in mechanical and electrical engineering within fast paced manufacturing, Production and Process environments ideally food or FMCG related.
16. Computer literate – SAP, Microsoft Office, SCADA, Trend systems, HMI’S

17. Arla Lockerbie has received c.£100 million investment since 2005, of which £34m CAPEX investment has recently been secured to implement new technology on site & house a new facilities building (includes; onsite gym, canteen, meeting rooms, wellbeing room etc).
