Improve Student Outcomes as a Support Academic Journey Specialist
Randstad's Student Support team is seeking experienced individuals to provide high-quality support to autistic students at Sheffield Hallam University.
This rewarding role involves working with students on a 1-2-1 basis, helping them to develop essential study skills and strategies to overcome academic barriers.
As a Support Academic Journey Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting students to:
* Understand academic requirements and expectations
* Develop effective time management and organisational skills
* Break down tasks into manageable deadlines
* Manage anxiety, stress, or low mood
* Prepare for new experiences
* Become independent learners, building confidence and strengths
To be successful in this role, you must hold relevant qualifications and training, including a minimum undergraduate degree level (Level 6) and extensive training in adult autism.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, punctuality, reliability, and good organisational skills. Experience of working with autistic clients is desirable.
