As a bank Staff Counsellor you will be jointly responsible for the continuing provision and maintenance of workplace counselling services available to all Trust staff and any external clients who purchase this service, and continually look for new and innovative ways of improving the service delivery and the patient's experience.
As a BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) Accredited, accountable and autonomous therapist, you will be responsible for organizing and managing client assessments, planning and providing the appropriate course of therapy, and evaluating the effectiveness of the therapy provided. You will manage your own caseload, act in the best interests of your clients at all times, and take personal and professional responsibility for your actions and decisions.
Main duties of the job
You will offer early intervention to staff who are in need of counselling support. This will be delivered in a timely manner as detailed within the department's service level agreements and key performance indicators.

Essential
* BACP Accredited/UKCP Registered with 5 years post-qualification experience.
* Evidence and maintenance of personal and professional development as required by accrediting body.
* Experience in Psychodynamic, Integrative time-limited counselling.
Desirable
* A previous clinical professional background or NHS experience.
* Certificate in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy skills for Occupational Health Professionals.
