JOB PURPOSE:
Support site Quality Manager with administration, information, and auditing against the Quality Management System and Customer codes of practice.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manage the site document control system.
2. Raise, issue, and coordinate action for Supplier Non-conformances, coordinating with the Group Raw Manager/Technologist.
3. Be the key customer contact in relation to specifications/artwork/labelling and associated technical queries on site.
4. Support in customer complaint & investigations, liaising with the relevant parties.
5. Provide information for periodic KPI reports.
6. Coach the teams in food safety and quality standards and requirements.
7. Ensure non-conforming finished product is not released to customer and investigations are completed and closed out in accordance with QMS.
8. Manage product sample requests, microbiological, nutritional, and chemical testing samples and collections.
9. Carry out internal audits in accordance with the agreed site schedule.
10. Train updated quality system procedures and product information to relevant teams.
11. Conduct traceability audits and present internally and to customers when required; to include forward, backward, and mass balance.
12. Deputise for Site Quality Manager.
KPI's:
1. Documentation up to date on logs and issued to relevant departments for use.
2. Customer requirements met; questionnaires, required information, queries answered in a timely manner.
3. Customer complaints handled effectively and in a timely manner.
4. Information required for KPI reports provided on time.
5. Product analytical sampling completed to plan.
6. Non-conformances completion with agreed corrective and preventive actions, root cause, and within agreed timescales.
7. Completing traceability and internal audits in accordance with the site schedule.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
1. Good literacy and numeracy skills.
2. Accuracy and attention to detail.
3. Organised and good time management.
4. Good written and verbal communication skills.
5. Influencing and expectation management skills.
6. BSc or above professional qualification in Food Safety or similar field (Desirable).
7. 3+ years food manufacturing experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
8. Level 3 HACCP (Desirable).
9. Internal Audit Training.
10. Proficient in Microsoft packages.
