Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to play vital role in Pharmacy Procurement and Support Services. Your expertise will be instrumental in the delivery of safe, cost-effective, patient centred care. Ensuring access to the correct medicines, at the right time while also focusing on cost-effectiveness and efficiency in the procurement process.
The successful candidate will be required to work within a large Pharmacy team, and must be able to communicate complex information effectively and appropriately with internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate must have excellent time management skills, an ability to manage their own workload and have experience in staff management and training.
Main duties of the job
1. Support the sourcing, procurement, and stock management of medicines, ensuring supply is efficiently maintained at UHBW
2. Actively manage the 'Off Contract' claims activity in accordance with department procedures and guidelines and ensure all documentation and systems are kept up to date, filed and efficiently maintained.
3. Co-ordination of Pharmacy Support Services alongside existing co-ordinator
4. Maintain regulatory compliance, manage stock levels and implement support systems to avoid shortages, waste or inefficiencies
5. Work alongside our healthcare and administrative teams, offering expertise and guidance on medication usage, availability and inventory control
6. Assist with all aspects of human resource management including recruitment, interviews, sickness, attendance, training and development of staff, in line with Trust policies and procedures.
7. The role will be split between Pharmacy Procurement and Support Services
