Main purpose of this role: To be an integral part of the settings leadership team and lead and support a team of Early Years Practitioners within your room.
Main duties and responsibilities:
• Work within, and ensure the effective delivery of the EYFS throughout allocated room
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed and promoted within allocated room
• Responsibility for the implementation of planning, learning and development within your room and ensure this is completed to a high standard
• Responsibly for the overall presentation of your room…displays, activities and crafts and ensuring all staff contribute to these.
• Responsibility for the conduct and punctuality of staff within your room.
• To act as a representative of your room in higher management meetings or any issues concerning or needing management approval
• Support the management team by ensuring your base room runs smoothly daily, including when you are not there
• Be a staple and committed member of the leadership team, leading by example for other staff members
• Promote the safe, caring, nurturing environment for the children to grow and thrive.
• Ensure the needs of each child are paramount.
• Undertake any relevant training as and when required.
• Follow guidance from management team and comply with all statutory frameworks
• Support practitioners to be an effective key person
• Attend regular staff meetings, open days and fundraisers in support of the nursery
• Be responsible for ensuring cleaning and maintaining of your base room

The successful applicant will be required to comply with Health and Safety regulations and strict Safeguarding practices, along with Prevent Duty procedures.
