Simon Acres Recruitment are working with a well-established KBB manufacturer, who is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to cover the North East of the UK.
Salary: Paying a basic of £55,000, plus bonus and car allowance (£75,200 OTE).
Covering: The North East of the UK.
Working hours: Monday to Friday (40 hours per week). Field-based & remote-based.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on building relationships and identifying new opportunities with significant experience in kitchen sales and account growth/development, as well as experience in opening new accounts.
Key responsibilities:
* Building, managing, and developing new and existing key relationships with kitchen retailers.
* Identifying and pursuing market development opportunities through proactively gathering market intelligence.
* Presenting new products, new colours, and promotional offers.
* Acting as the primary point of contact for retailers, addressing their inquiries, resolving issues, and proactively identifying opportunities for upselling.
* Conducting regular visits, business reviews, and performance analysis.
* Increasing sales by introducing new customers.
* Developing annual budgets/forecasts.
* Understanding customers' needs, building and maintaining customer relationships to support with identify new opportunities and grow sales.
* Coordinating between factories and customer/account base.
* Staying updated with industry trends and market developments.
Candidate Requirements:
* Proven experience in new business sales and key account management within the KBB industry.
* Existing relationships with KBB retailers (very beneficial).
* Excellent technical understanding of kitchens.
* Ability to build and strengthen customer relationships.
* Proficiency in the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to closing.
* Track record in building and converting sales opportunities.
* Strong commercial and sales acumen.
* Exceptional relationship-building skills.
* Self-driven, highly motivated, enthusiastic and pro-active.
* Ability to work under pressure and solve problems.
* Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
* Be able to manage time and priorities effectively.
* Proficient with MS packages such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
* Full UK Driving licence (essential).
* Flexible with business travel requirements – UK and international travel including overnight.
