If you are an engineer or technician with experience working in a mechanical manufacturing, assembly, and test environment, then this could be ideal for you.
The company designs and develops high reliability products for the defence sector, so this could suit someone with a background in similar industries such as defence, aerospace, rail, automotive, or oil and gas.
As a technical support engineer, you will be part of a team that works with engineering and manufacturing teams to support new product introduction and define manufacturing and assembly processes.
This is an interesting and varied role where you will have the chance to work with different teams and departments and play a key role in developing and bringing new products into production.
This could suit someone with experience in a mechanical manufacturing environment or perhaps someone with a technician background who is looking to take a step up into a more varied role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting new product introduction
* Producing assembly and testing documents and instructions
* Ensuring quality requirements are met
* Supporting continuous improvement activities
* Testing components and systems
* Supporting the quality team with APQP and 8D investigations
Skills and Experience:
* Experience in low volume mechanical manufacturing, including assembly and test experience
* Relevant engineering qualifications
* Experience working on development engineering programs
* Some knowledge of hydraulic components and assemblies
* Knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings and specifications
