Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor on behalf of our client to support the Senior Commercial Manager and the team in enhancing processes and procedures within the business. The role will be office based in South Bermondsey with travel to site for meetings and visits as required.\nResponsibilities and Accountabilities:\nEnsuring a professional decorum with clients and contractors and stakeholders at all times\nLiaise with Estimating, Pre-Construction, Design, Document Control and Operational teams to ensure proper exchange of information.\nCollating, updating and developing any required trackers for projects with a clearer understanding of the purpose and use of the data collected.\nAssisting with and preparation of rolling final accounts and monthly applications to all clients along with monitoring certification and cash received\nAssisting with and preparation and agreement of final accounts\nKeeping track of project retentions\nAssisting with and procurement of subcontractors\nManage all aspects of the change control process including raising any appropriate Contractual notices.\nManage any Client or ASC document control systems.\nReviewing drawings for changes, track and issue as appropriate\nAssisting with and pricing of any change / variations on all Contracts\nReview record sheets and Smart Sheets and action any change or programme impact resulting from\nAssisting with and preparation of cost and value analysis including forecast cost to complete\nAttending meetings when required and taking minutes if required to record and protect ASC Contractual interests.\nAssisting with and preparation of analysis of tender allowances for labour, plant and materials, and subcontractors\nAssisting with and preparation of cash flow forecasting\nReviewing progress against programme\nIdentifying and managing risk\nAssisting with and preparation and submission of appropriate Contractual documentation and notices\nAssisting with and analysis of costs\nAssisting with and analysis of subcontractor applications and accounts\nLogging and tracking change on all contracts\nGeneral admin and filing and storing of information across the network.\nGoal:\nTo deliver effective and focused support, with the aim of improving the efficiency and quality of the commercial delivery of all projects across the business.\nTo continue to develop more detailed commercial skills and assist the Senior Commercial Manager and other team members drive improved process and procedure in the business.\nTo provide guidance and support to the operational teams to ensure proper Contractual administration of projects.\nWorking hours: 40 hours per week\nResponsible to: Senior Commercial Manager\nResponsible for: Providing quantity surveying function and supporting other team members. Duties may vary from time to time within the remit of the role.
