Our client, a leading packaging supplier, has a brilliant opportunity for a D365 Change / Project Manager to join their Central team in Coventry. Founded in 2001 with a unique vision and a philosophy of employee-ownership, my client was a true greenfield start-up and has grown quickly to be the 2nd largest packaging distributor in the UK. Kite has been awarded ‘Top 50 Fastest Growing Companies in the Midlands’ and ‘The Sunday Times Track 100 Fastest Profit Growth in the UK’, as well as the prestigious ‘Packaging Company of the Year’ at the 2023 packaging awards.
They are half-way through a highly successful Microsoft D365 project to replace their ERP, WMS, CRM, and telephony systems. Currently on time and on budget, they are looking to strengthen the team with the addition of a highly experienced D365 Project Manager / Change Facilitator who will assist with the implementation phase of the project.
You will live within a commutable distance to Coventry for the duration of the project and have a willingness to travel to sites within the UK.
As the client-side Change / Project Manager, you will foster strong relationships with key stakeholders and understand their needs. You will develop actionable plans and be accountable for ensuring the successful implementation of Microsoft D365.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the work is being carried out in line with the plan and methodology.
2. Work closely with the project team and business stakeholders to ensure that the solution meets the needs of the business and meets the objectives of the project.
3. Ensure that the roles and responsibilities of the team are defined.
4. Manage resources, ensuring that the project is resourced and that the team is motivated.
5. Ensure that there are regular status updates and reports.
6. Ensure that tasks are completed on time and to the required quality standards.
7. Identify business stakeholders and ensure that stakeholders are kept updated.
8. Communicate plans and updates to manage expectations.
9. Maintain excellent communication across the project team.
10. Identify and manage risks and issues, developing contingency plans to mitigate risks and escalate where required.
11. Support decision-making and ensure that decisions are clearly communicated.
12. Manage change control, ensuring all changes are impact assessed, managed, and tracked.
13. Ensure that costs are controlled and work to identify time or cost-saving opportunities.
14. Establish appropriate quality controls, conduct regular audits and work with stakeholders to develop corrective actions when necessary.
Key Skills and Essential Experience:
1. Proven experience in change/project management and end-to-end delivery of D365.
2. D365 experience is essential, this may be across one or all of CRM, ERP, and WMS.
3. Strong management skills with the ability to plan, organize and execute complex projects with precision.
4. Solid understanding of ERP systems, particularly D365, with the ability to grasp technical concepts and translate them into business solutions.
5. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to inspire confidence, build rapport and lead cross-functional teams.
6. Analytical mindset with a knack for identifying issues, proposing innovative solutions, and driving continuous improvement.
7. The ability to work with multidisciplinary teams, providing support, guidance, and motivation.
8. Experience of working with implementation partners and suppliers.
9. Experience in Agile and Waterfall environments.
10. Experience in working with Azure DevOps is desirable.
Experience:
1. We are desirably looking for someone who has a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role and will be able to demonstrate an all-around technical skill set.
