Cooley Dickinson Medical Group Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is where experienced, highly trained professionals advance the health of patients through specialized, expert treatment and prevention of musculoskeletal (bones, ligaments, muscles, tendons) problems. The practice’s holistic approach to orthopedics involves coordination of personalized services within the practice and with other providers, to ensure a comprehensive range of care to people of all ages. We have combined expertise in all major orthopedic specialties, including sports medicine, orthopedic trauma, hand & upper extremities, joint replacement and spine care.

Job Summary
We are seeking a full time 40-hour, Triage RN to support our practice Monday through Friday from 8:30am-5:00pm. Dedicated to phone triage, the RN will handle patient interactions via telephone, provide advice in accordance with clinical protocols, coordinate proper disposition, suture removals, wound care, and post-op care. Calls are related to patient concerns, appointments, pre and post procedures, urgent care, inpatient admissions, prescription refills, and test results.
Qualifications
Education: Associate's Degree Nursing required or Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred. Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No.
Licenses and Credentials: Registered Nurse [RN - State License] - Generic - HR Only required. Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred.
Experience: Clinical nursing experience 0-1 year required and Ambulatory care or outpatient experience 1-2 years preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
1. Proficient knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
4. Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and professional development.
5. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and healthcare technologies.
