Job summary Exciting Opportunity for a Band 5 Radiotherapy Admin Team Leader We are seeking an experienced & confident to lead our Radiotherapy assistant & Radiotherapy Scheduling Teams. Patient administration underpins the patient journey and supports clinical teams in delivering high quality patient care and can make a real difference to the patient experience. Effective and efficient patient administration supports management through ensuring a high standard of data quality and by making the best use of capacity and resources. The purpose of this role is to support radiotherapy operations by managing the team which undertakes administration and clinical tasks to the highest professional standards, working with Medical, Radiographic, Physics and other administrative colleagues. Main duties of the job The post holder has responsibility for the provision of a professional, comprehensive and efficient administrative and radiotherapy assistant service, which is effectively delivered to all patients and members of the Radiotherapy Department. The post holder will be expected to play a key role in the leadership and support of the radiotherapy scheduling team and radiotherapy assistant team to ensure the provision of a high quality and patient-focussed service within the Oxford Cancer Centre. The Radiotherapy Administration Team Leader will operationally manage the Patient Administration and Assistant team within the Radiotherapy Department. They will work closely with the Radiotherapy Operational Manager & radiotherapy section leads in the development of the service, actively participating in project groups, providing project support and co-ordination, and contributing to help shape the future administration and clinical support pathways within the department In addition the post holder will provide day to day support to aid the smooth running of the department administrative team and aiding with the management of the Radiotherapy Assistants.
