Line of Service Advisory Industry/Sector Retail Specialism Technology Strategy Management Level Manager Job Description & Summary About the role As a Salesforce Functional (Technical consultant) within PwC’s Customer Led Transformation team, you will help clients leverage Salesforce technology to enhance customer experiences, enable sustainable change, and deliver effective and well-designed solution outcomes This role balances functional and technical delivery with strong client management. You will be the primary contact for clients, responsible for project scope, requirements, and Salesforce solutions. You will manage projects throughout the lifecycle, from pre-sales and discovery to development, testing, deployment, and training. What your days will look like Development of Client Solutions: Lead technical discovery sessions to gather detailed client requirements and translate them into technical specifications for Salesforce implementations. Provide expert guidance on Salesforce architecture and design, ensuring technical solutions align with best practices and client objectives. Design and review complex Salesforce configurations, utilising advanced features and low-code solutions to meet client needs. Contribute to estimation processes for project phases, including discovery, pre-build, and build, ensuring realistic and achievable timelines. Providing oversight to the technical delivery of Salesforce solutions, focusing on quality, optimal configuration, integration, and performance. Maintain and enhance key client and stakeholder relationships through technical expertise and consultation. Recommend and implement new Salesforce features and technical improvements to enhance platform efficiency and scalability. Develop and maintain thorough technical documentation, including architectural diagrams and system specifications. Promote and adhere to technical best practices and design guidelines within the Salesforce ecosystem. Commercial Assist in the pre-sales process by providing technical insights and contributing to the development of proposals for new business opportunities. Collaborate with the sales team to deliver technically sound proposals and solutions to clients. Review functional and technical aspects of proposals to ensure feasibility and alignment with client requirements. Work closely with the commercial team to ensure a seamless transition from sales to delivery. Collaborate with engagement leadership to ensure resource planning accurately reflects skill requirements and project demands. Balance deliverables with commercial objectives to ensure project success. General Gain and maintain certifications in selected Salesforce products Maintain and improve internal team skills, processes and ways of working. Manage, mentor and coach other colleagues. Participate in the PwC culture, practices and teams. This role is for you if You have proven advanced experience in full-cycle software development with demonstrated achievements and progressive responsibilities. You possess an advanced understanding of Salesforce configurations and a background in CRM process design and implementation. You have strong presentation and communication skills, along with logical and analytical abilities. You have experience in change control best practices, including managing multiple code/configuration streams and promoting changes to production, with best in class devops tooling.
