We are currently recruiting for a Relief Plant Supervisor - Readymix (RMX) to join our fantastic Readymix team based out of our Tarmac Coleford Concrete Plant in Forest of Dean. This role will be mobile and cover our sites in Coleford, Wellington, Tredegar and Llanwern. These sites are easily accessible from Monmouth, Cinderford, Lydney, Gloucester, Chepstow, Newport, Hereford, Worcester, Leominster, Gloucester, Cheltenham and the surrounding areas.

Main Responsibilities
Reporting to the Production Manager, the role of Relief Plant Supervisor - Readymix is an operational role and the suitable candidate will also support the RMX Production Manager in managing and being accountable for the RMX operations on our plant. Safety and operational standards are the fundamentals of the role of Relief Plant Supervisor – Readymix with delivery to customer needs and performance improvement being key.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities include:
1. Supporting the RMX Production Manager in the management of plant compliance (multiple sites) with business policies and procedures.
2. Batching concrete to meet customer needs whilst meeting internal quality requirements.
3. Ensuring Readymix deliveries are met, engaging with Readymix Distribution Teams throughout.
4. Working closely with Readymix Technical Teams to ensure quality control of all products.
5. Haulier management - coordinating collection loads daily.
6. Supervising Contractors (no direct reports).
7. Ensuring that legislative compliance is also a strong aspect of the role.
8. Overseeing all aspects of daily production including operational costs and control stocks.
9. Taking responsibility for their own safety and that of colleagues, contractors and business partners.
10. Maintaining site housekeeping to a high standard.

Key Stakeholders within this role are RMX Production Manager, RMX General Manager, Aggregates Distribution Teams, Quarry Teams, Customers collecting orders.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate for the role of Relief Plant Supervisor - Readymix will already have experience in plant operations preferably within a Ready Mix / Aggregates environment; however, this is not essential as we also welcome applications from candidates with hands-on manufacturing experience too.
Suitable candidates for Relief Plant Supervisor - Readymix will also:
1. Actively identify and implement site and process improvements.
2. Be happy to multitask and manage change.
3. Possess excellent communication skills.
4. Demonstrate superb attention to detail.
5. Engage with stakeholders at all levels (both internally and externally).
6. Evidence good time management skills.
7. Be flexible and adaptable to ensure delivery of customer requirements and workload priorities (paid overtime).
8. Enjoy working as part of a team and be able to motivate others.
9. Have full knowledge of Risk Assessments and Safe System of Work Systems as well as working knowledge of H&S and Environmental policies.
10. Have working knowledge of production processes.
11. IOSH Managing Safely (but we will train).
12. NVQ in fixed and mobile plant operations (but we will train).
