Job Title: Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry Band: Consultant Location: Liverpool, Merseyside Working Hours: 40 hours Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to join our esteemed NHS client’s dynamic mental health team in Liverpool, Merseyside. This locum position is available for an immediate start on a short-term contract, offering competitive rates. Key Responsibilities: In this role, you will deliver high-quality psychiatric care to adult patients, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualised treatment plans, and providing therapeutic interventions. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including the Early Intervention Team, to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients. Your responsibilities will include managing complex cases, offering specialist advice, contributing to the enhancement of mental health services, conducting ward rounds and managing ward jobs, reviewing patient cases and providing feedback, attending relevant patient meetings when necessary, and collaborating with the Early Intervention Team to provide integrated care for patients with early signs of mental health issues. Additionally, you will engage with local and national networks to elevate the profile of our centre and ensure all therapeutic approaches are evidence-based and effective.
