An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Learning Support Assistant to join Cobden Primary School on a part-time permanent basis. We are a diverse school serving a deprived area of Loughborough; working with us you can make a real difference to the young people and families we work with.
The role of LSA within the school is an important and rewarding role, providing vital support to those students who need it and the opportunity to access learning as part of the usual school day. We are looking to appoint a well-motivated and enthusiastic individual who is committed to providing high quality provision to our pupils and support to the Teachers within the school. The post holder will be required to work with whole classes, small groups, and SEN pupils on an individual 1:1 basis.
The role is rewarding, with the successful candidates having the opportunity to positively develop and encourage our pupils in both their academic and social life. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their own practice with the support of a close-knit team. Cobden Primary School has great transport links with the train station a 5 minute walk away.
The ideal candidate will have:
1. A NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience in Teaching and Learning
2. Experience of working in a classroom environment
3. Good literacy and numeracy skills
4. The ability to contribute to the progression of learning in school
5. The ability to take direction from the Class Teacher to ensure all tasks and learning is undertaken within and outside of the classroom
