An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Learning and Development System Lead to join our team in a dynamic and forward-thinking service area.
WHAT IS INVOLVED?
In this pivotal role, you will support the Learning and Development System Manager with the development, management and governance of the Durham Learning and Development System (DLDS) – the Council’s workforce Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring that the digital learning and development needs of the council, partner and external customers are met, driving end user satisfaction. You will also manage and motivate the learning and development system team to deliver continuous improvement to learning and development processes, systems, and training resources.
You will ensure quality assurance processes are in place for system user support, system development, updating records and data entry and reporting, in particular the digitisation of mandatory learning programs, automation and recertifications.
You will play a key role in managing and delivering a range of innovative digital learning projects and programmes, ensuring they align with business goals and legislative requirements. You will work closely with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure that corporate and service learning and development needs are met through effective training solutions and ensure programmes are delivered in the most efficient way through the Durham Learning and Development System.
As part of our hybrid working policy, you will have the ability to work from home and from an office location.
WHAT WILL I NEED?
* Qualified to level 5 in a relevant subject and/or other relevant professional qualification
* Experience of administration and development of a HR/Learning Management System
* Experience of providing technical and administrative support to system end-users
* Confident in using large data sets, data cleansing and validation
* Experience of dealing professionally with a range of stakeholders and providing a professional customer focused service
* An understanding of organisational development and workforce development
* Proven ability to solve complex problems
* Excellent ICT, project and change management skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, customer care, organisational and presentation skills

HYBRID WORKING (if applicable)
Durham County Council currently operates a hybrid working policy where a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote will apply. This model is pro-rated for part time roles and arrangements are at managers discretion, alternatively you can work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer.
